Las Vegas is set to surpass Chicago as North America's leading city for corporate meetings in 2026, with New York and Orlando (a new entrant) ranking third and fourth, respectively and Dallas rounding out the top five, according to a survey conducted by American Express Global Business Travel.
The destination rankings, which follows the release of the TMC’s annual Meetings & Events Forecast, is based on an internal survey of 83 Amex GBT meetings professionals who assessed destinations in the region based on the following criteria: ease of travel and transportation for attendees; cost-effectiveness for organizers and participants; physical safety and security; recent public investments and local attractions; ability to deliver a ‘robust’ attendee experience, and ESG/sustainability attributes.
In Latin America, Mexico City leads the way, followed by Bogota, Colombia; Buenos Aires, Argentina; São Paulo, Brazil; and Cancun, Mexico. In Europe, London claims the top spot, followed by Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Paris. In the Asia-Pacific region, Singapore maintains its number one position, followed by Bangkok, Sydney, Tokyo and Bali.
