JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes completes renovations

The JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes has wrapped its multimillion-dollar renovation, part of an update of the entire Grande Lakes Orlando resort, which also includes The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes.

JW Marriott Orlando’s new additions include a waterpark, a restaurant from chef John Tesar, refreshed guestrooms and suites, the introduction of executive family suites and a redesigned lobby lounge.

Waterpark

The reconfigured and expanded Grande Lakes Waterpark has a variety of private, full-service cabanas and an outdoor space with six distinct zones that include a lazy river, Headwaters Slide Tower with three waterslides, a restaurant and a VIP fire pit lounge. There are separate areas designed to encourage family fun or facilitate more secluded relaxation. The new waterpark will open on Nov. 20.

Poolside Dining

On the heels of earning a star in the inaugural Michelin Guide Florida 2022 for his steak and seafood restaurant Knife & Spoon at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, chef John Tesar has opened the new poolside restaurant Knife Burger as part of the Grande Lakes Waterpark.

Lobby Lounge

The new EvrBar on the lobby level has panoramic views of the new waterpark through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Guestrooms & Suites

Each of the 1,010 accommodations at JW Marriott Orlando received new fixtures, textiles and furnishings. The updated spaces have soft but rich tones to create a serene and bright aesthetic.

The hotel now has seven new executive family suites with options for two- and three-bedrooms with built-in bunk beds, king-size beds and separate living areas.

JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes and The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes are owned by a joint venture of Trinity Real Estate Investments and institutional investors.
