The historic Balfour Miami Beach has joined Registry Collection Hotels, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio of independent luxury properties.
The 82-room historic South of Fifth hotel has been a fixture of Miami Beach since 1940. The Florida property was designed by designed by Art Deco architect Anton Skislewicz and includes two restored buildings connected by a palm-lined courtyard.
“For generations, Balfour has been a place guests return to for its Art Deco charm and the welcoming atmosphere of South of Fifth,” Andrew Stegen, executive vp of operations at Toronto, Canada-based FullG CRE Investments, said in a statement. “Partnering with Registry Collection Hotels allows us to introduce the property to new travelers while preserving the spirit and individuality that define the hotel.”

Balfour Miami Beach guestrooms and suites feature herringbone floors, Frette Italian linens, marble walk-in rain showers, Lavazza coffee and bath amenities from The Botanist & The Chemist. On-property amenities include an outdoor pool terrace, complimentary beach chairs, bicycles for guest use, weekend wellness programming and pet-friendly accommodations. Dining options include Laurel, the hotel’s Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, and SoFi Coffee, an on-site café serving artisanal offerings.
Balfour joins a Registry Collection Hotels portfolio that includes The Mining Exchange, a Registry Collection Hotel in Colorado Springs, and Ajul Luxury Hotel & Spa Resort in Halkidiki, Greece, the brand’s first European property. Wyndham has also announced plans to expand the brand into India beginning in 2026.
