The Hospitality Show Q&A with Towne Park's Jackie DeChamps

The Hospitality Show, taking place Oct. 26-28 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, will bring together 5,000 attendees and promises to drive profitability for owners, operators and hospitality innovators through dedicated content, extensive networking and 400+ operations and technology vendors.

In this installment of The Hospitality Show Speaker Q&A, we catch up with Jackie DeChamps, COO and chief human resources officer of Towne Park. DeChamp is part of the panel, Show Me The Margins panel on Oct. 28.

What’s one shift you’re excited to see gaining momentum in hospitality right now?

I’m excited to see the shift toward seamless, tech-enabled guest experiences that still deliver a personal touch. At Towne Park, we’ve invested in AI, dynamic pricing, and integrated digital platforms to optimize parking as a true revenue asset — but the heart of it is still hospitality. First and last impressions matter, and when technology enables our teams to focus on creating smiles and delivering service excellence, the guest journey is transformed from arrival through departure

What’s one overlooked trend or innovation you believe deserves more traction in the year ahead?

One overlooked innovation is the recognition of parking as a perishable asset that can drive meaningful revenue and profitability. Too often, parking is seen as just an amenity. In reality, with the right revenue management strategies, dynamic pricing, and solutions like our T-Park system, it becomes a high-margin source of value for hotels and owners. We think more of the industry will begin to treat parking with the same strategic lens as rooms

What do you see as the biggest opportunity for hospitality businesses in the year ahead?

The biggest opportunity is to blend operational efficiency with guest experience through technology. Whether it’s leveraging AI to optimize staffing, using dynamic pricing to maximize parking revenue, or streamlining EV charger management with our EV Valet solution, there’s untapped value in adopting smart, frictionless systems. Hotels that embrace these innovations will not only improve margins but also elevate their brands by consistently delivering exceptional experiences

What advice would you give to emerging leaders in hospitality as they navigate the future of the industry?

My advice would be to lead with people, supported by technology. Our business is ultimately about the quality of our teams — they are the product. At Towne Park, we’ve built a culture that prioritizes hiring the right people, empowering them with AI-enabled tools, and fostering engagement so they can grow with us. Emerging leaders should remember that innovation only works when it amplifies human connection and service

What are you most looking forward to at The Hospitality Show this year — whether it’s on the show floor, on stage, or behind the scenes?

I’m looking forward to the opportunity to share and learn from peers about how technology and service are reshaping profitability for owners and operators. For Towne Park, that means showing how optimizing parking assets, investing in innovation, and empowering associates can unlock both memorable guest experiences and higher-margin revenue streams. The Hospitality Show is the perfect place to connect those dots across the industry.
