Hospitality management company Charlestowne Hotels has appointed Tom Roman vice president of food & beverage.
Roman has spent more than 20 years developing food and beverage programs for independent hotels and lifestyle brands. Most recently, he led food & beverage operations for Life House / Lark Hospitality. He has also held senior leadership positions with Castlerock Asset Management, Public Hotels and Tao Group.
“Food and beverage play a significant role in influencing travel decisions, and our team is dedicated to providing dining experiences that are central and memorable to the guest journey,” Kyle Hughey, chief executive officer of Charlestowne Hotels, said in a statement. “Tom’s expertise and proven ability to drive both authentic experiences and profitability make him an outstanding fit for our food and beverage team. His leadership and creativity will help us build new and exciting culinary brands, expand on strategic partnerships, and elevate our menus with fresh and innovative cuisine.”
“Charlestowne has built a reputation for celebrating the uniqueness of each of its managed properties, and food and beverage is key to telling that story,” Roman said. “I’m inspired by the chance to work across such a diverse portfolio—from boutique inns in college towns to luxury hotels in cities, ski resorts, and beach destinations. Each market has its own flavor and audience, and Charlestowne excels at creating concepts that resonate. I look forward to contributing my passion for concept development to the company, and am excited to collaborate with such an exceptional team of established food and beverage leaders.”
