IHM Outdoors, the outdoor and resort focused division of Island Hospitality Management, promotes Hayden Schlosser to divisional vice president, outdoors division, as the group expands its portfolio nationwide. In his new role, he will continue to ensure the operational success of the Outdoors Portfolio and oversee multiple positions added in the recent expansion.
“As we continue to pursue our aggressive expansion plans in the outdoor space, Hayden has proven himself an invaluable member of our team since he joined us in 2013 as a front desk associate at the Homewood Suites by Hilton, Carlsbad, Calif., and the perfect candidate to help lead that growth,” Island Hospitality Management President and CEO Gregg Forde. “Since then, his ascension through the ranks has been steady, with multiple general manager positions within our company and most recently as vice president of operations in the Outdoor Hospitality division. His quick success and outstanding results have helped grow this segment of our business to the 15 parks we currently have under management.”
Due to Schlosser’s success, the IHM Outdoors portfolio grew the portfolio from its initial five locations by adding nine new properties located in Moab, Garden City and Salt Lake City, Utah; Paso Robles, Calif.; Granby, Colo.; and Association Island, N.Y. The additional nine properties align with IHM Outdoors nationwide broad coverage and add more diversity to the portfolio.
Schlosser’s property level executive roles include general manager of the Residence Inn, Mountain View, where he oversaw the expansion of this property from a 112-room hotel to a 144-room hotel, as well as the Residence Inn, Silicon Valley II and Residence Inn, San Diego/Mission Valley, two of the highest revenue hotels in the Island portfolio. He also served as dual general manager of the Courtyard and Moxy in the Gaslamp District of San Diego.
“Hayden is undeniably best-in-class when it comes to facing challenges and new experiences head on,” said Drew Allison, executive vice president, IHM Outdoors. “He is not only solution-oriented, but he empowers his team and has lead the day-to-day outdoor portfolio operations since its inception.
“IHM Outdoors remains on track to double its top line revenue within the next three years. making it one of the largest outdoor/resort operators in the world,” Allison said. “Our goal is to grow the portfolio by expanding our current partnerships while creating new ones, and Hayden in his role will be integral to that success.”
