The only new hotel to make its debut in Portland this year has officially opened with The Cambria Hotel Portland (Ore.) Pearl District.
The 178-room property is on the historic Park Blocks, close to the Portland Art Museum, Powell’s City of Books and the city’s Saturday Market.
“We are opening our doors at a pivotal moment for Portland, as the city experiences a true renaissance with renewed energy and enthusiasm for what makes this place special,” Klint Kolbu, general manager of the Cambria Hotel Portland – Pearl District, said in a statement. “As the city’s only new hotel opening this year, we’re thrilled to be part of this positive momentum, offering guests a front-row seat to rediscover Portland’s creative spirit and unique character.”
Designed with both business and leisure travelers in mind, the hotel has spa-inspired bathrooms and pet-friendly accommodations. On-site amenities include a fitness studio, 1,350 square feet of flexible meeting space and a 24-hour marketplace with locally sourced snacks and travel essentials.
Anchoring the property is Recess, a restaurant and bar led by Chef Michael Iles, serving Pacific Northwest cuisine and emphasizing locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.
