The Riley Hotel Group will open the Wills Hotel, a new boutique hotel in Cumberland, Md., in early 2026. The hotel is near the renowned Great Allegheny Passage Trail and the C&O Canal Towpath. Numerous state parks and forests are also just a short drive away.
“Our vision for The Wills Hotel is to create a space that honors Cumberland's rich history while providing the modern amenities and exceptional service today's travelers expect,” the hotel's general manager said in a statement. “We are eagerly preparing to welcome our first guests in 2026 and look forward to becoming a central hub for visitors, whether they're here to explore the trails, conduct business, or enjoy a relaxing getaway.”
The Wills Hotel will have 20 guestrooms, a sundry shop, secure bike storage and a flexible meeting and event space. The hotel will also have 1867 – A Modern Chophouse at The Wills Hotel, a restaurant and bar with Modern American cuisine.
