St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has opened The St. Regis Aruba Resort, designed by Hirsch Bender Associates. The property has the first St. Regis casino and a rooftop dining venue helmed by chef Akira Back.

The hotel’s design combines local Dutch-Caribbean culture with the history of The St. Regis brand. Taking inspiration from the island’s white beaches and Casibari Rock Formations, the property includes colonial-style architecture and colorful areas inspired by the island’s streets. The newly built resort has 252 guestrooms, including 52 suites.

The resort has six food-and-beverage venues. At the heart of the dining offerings is the rooftop restaurant, Akira Back. Additional dining experiences include immersive Caribbean restaurant Eskama as well as Nuba, an Aruban-inspired pool- and beachside restaurant. The St. Regis Aruba Resort will have two bars—The St. Regis Bar and Ventura—and a coffee shop, Grano Café.

Amenities include two pools with private cabanas, a fitness center and The St. Regis Spa. The hotel also has a club for children. The St. Regis Aruba Resort’s meetings and events spaces cover 20,000 square feet, both indoor and outdoor.

"Aruba has long been a haven for travelers seeking exceptional escapes, and St. Regis' legendary vanguard spirit and traditions are a perfect fit for this extraordinary destination," said Brian King, president of Caribbean & Latin America for Marriott International.
