Industry vets launch MIA Hospitality Management

Hotel developer Robert Finvarb and Brian Vujnovic has officially launched MIA Hospitality Management. The Miami-based company’s name comes is an acronym for “Mastery in operations, Innovation in strategy, and Assurance in results,” according to a statement.  

“At MIA Hospitality Management, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences while maximizing value for our owners and partners,” CEO & Co-Founder Vujnovic said in a statement. “Our mission is to merge the perspective of hotel ownership with the discipline of best-in-class operations. That balance is what drives long-term success for our investors, associates, and guests alike.”

MIAHM provides a “suite of services” for hoteliers, from advanced revenue-management strategies and integrated sales-and-marketing platforms to GAAP-compliant financial reporting and holistic property operations.

Finvarb has been a developer and owner through Robert Finvarb Companies for more than 20 years, with ground-up projects and asset management across Marriott and Hyatt brands in high-barrier, competitive markets including New York City, Washington, D.C. and throughout New Jersey, North Carolina, Arizona and Michigan. Vujnovic has worked with luxury independent, lifestyle and select-service hotels, including 11 years of asset-management experience.

First Properties

The company enters the industry with a portfolio of 939 rooms across South Florida. Its first hotel under management, the Courtyard Miami Coconut Grove, joined on March 3, followed by the Hyatt Centric South Beach on May 1. On July 1, MIAHM added both the AC Hotel Miami Brickell and the Element by Westin Miami Brickell, and on Sept. 3, the Springhill Suites Miami Downtown Medical District. The Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruiseport will join on Oct. 1.

Looking ahead, MIAHM will also assume management of the Hyatt Centric Wynwood, currently being developed by RFC and projected to open in 2028. With additional transitions already underway, the company expects to surpass 1,000 rooms under management by the end of the year, while also laying the foundation for expansion into new U.S. markets.
