Universal Hospitality Solutions has assumed management of the 291-room Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown by IHG.
“We appreciate the trust and confidence in our management team’s track record for achieving impressive operational and financial results,” said Scott Nadel, CEO of Universal Hospitality Solutions, in a statement. “As an experienced hotel development and management company, UHS is committed to delivering on the high expectations for our associates, guests and hotel ownership.”
The high-rise hotel has 30,000 square feet of event space as well as a rooftop pool. According to Nadel, the company is in the process of implementing several property updates, such as upgrading the bedding in the 291 rooms and suites and recarpeting all guest floor corridors. The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company is also converting the hotel’s onsite snack bar/deli to The MarketPlace, a 24/7 spot for purchasing snacks and sundries.
The property is close to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, as well as more than 50 restaurants, several major employers and local attractions, including the West End district, American Airlines Center, and Uptown.
