Al Fresco Living: Outdoor options from Landscape Forms

Landscape Forms has launched a new light and a new chair, both designed for outdoor use.

Louis Lighting

Louis is a linear catenary light created by Barcelona-based Urbidermis. Inspired by the philosophy of architect Louis Kahn, Louis merges clean, modernist geometries with a versatile and sustainable lighting solution tailored for urban environments. Louis has gently arched aluminum housing, a design choice that softens its rectilinear form while subtly concealing the catenary attachment points. Louis provides precise illumination while contributing to the visual identity and emotional atmosphere of urban space.

Designed to enhance "slow-velocity spaces" such as plazas, parks and recreational areas, Louis establishes unobstructed planes of illumination that encourage social interaction and public engagement. Its linear profile is particularly effective when installed in sequence, providing rhythmic wayfinding guidance along pedestrian thoroughfares and city streets. The design of Louis prioritizes both efficiency and environmental responsibility, reflecting the dedication of Landscape Forms and Urbidermis in the creation of sustainable, high-performance lighting solutions.

21 Lounge Chair

The company also expanded its 21 Line with the new 21 Lounge Chair created in collaboration with Grand Rapids-based design studio Modello USA. Building on the original 21 Chair, the 21 Lounge Chair is designed to promote relaxation outdoors. The chair is named for its 21 inch-wide seat pan.

Landscape Forms 21 Lounge Chair

The 21 Lounge Chair is made from steel tubing and die-cast aluminum slats for the seat and back. The chair can be stacked up to four units high for easy moving. They are finished in a variety of colors with Landscape Forms’ proprietary Pangard II HAPS, VOC and lead-free polyester powdercoat that resists chipping, peeling and fading.
