Multifunctional Seating: Kobold by Ligne Roset

Erwan Bouroullec’s new Kobold for Ligne Roset resembles a small room, where everything has its place but can be reconfigured at a moment’s notice.

The modular sofa utilizes simple shapes, allowing a space to be created for a variety of uses right from the start. Different configurations provide seating, a bed and storage, while horizontal surfaces serve as tables, and the wooden sides act as partitions, creating a bit of interior architecture. Kobold can be made compact to get the most out of a small space or expanded on a larger scale to become the focal point of a room.

Designers and hoteliers can choose between Kobold Soft, a slightly lower version with removable cushions, or Kobold Classic, which is firmer, a bit higher and provides more support.
