Atlanta’s Courtland Grand Hotel completes comprehensive reno

The 763-room Courtland Grand Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, in downtown Atlanta has completed a multi-million-dollar property-wide renovation.

Managed by HEI Hotels & Resorts, the renovation project encompassed all public areas, guestrooms and meeting spaces. The renovation introduced new carpeting throughout, refreshed finishes and furnishings, and updated color palettes across guest rooms and corridors.

“From our refinished lobby to our updated restaurant to improved guest rooms, the renovation truly transformed the Courtland Grand Hotel into a stunning oasis in downtown Atlanta, one that will appeal to discerning group, business and leisure travelers alike,” Marilyn Yelle, director of sales and marketing, said in a statement.

Guestrooms received upgraded linens, guest comfort technology and new bedding packages, with select accommodations featuring new mattresses and box springs. Public spaces, including the lobby and more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space, also were refurbished.

The hotel’s signature restaurant, Fandangle’s, underwent a complete redesign and now operates under the direction of executive chef Reginald Shankle, who brings extensive experience in Southern and American cuisine. Shankle most recently served as executive chef and partner at Culinary Culture Hub and has held positions at the Marriott Norcross, Hilton Norcross and Crowne Plaza Macon.
