Third-party management firm Driftwood Hospitality Management has completed a comprehensive renovation of the Hilton Washington D.C./Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center.
The project marks the property’s first major renovation in a decade and updated both guest and meeting areas. The 315-room hotel—including 12 suites and two Presidential suites—now has fully refreshed guestrooms, suites and public areas.
“We’re proud to elevate the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville to meet the evolving needs of today’s travelers,” Fred Malek, managing director, District Hospitality Partners, owner of the hotel, said in a statement. “This renovation positions the property at the forefront of hospitality excellence in the D.C. area.”
“This multimillion-dollar renovation underscores Driftwood Hospitality Management’s commitment to revitalizing properties in our portfolio while enhancing the guest experience at every level,” added Bryan Postema, COO at North Palm Beach, Fla.-based Driftwood Hospitality Management, describing the property as a “cornerstone asset” for the company.
The renovation encompassed all hard and soft goods with a focus on modern design elements. The property—which provides access to the Twinbrook Metro line and downtown Washington, D.C.—also has 35,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space across 25 venues.
