Playa completes $20M renovation of Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta

Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V. has completed renovations at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, part of Hyatt Hotels' Inclusive Collection. With a $20 million investment, these enhancements elevate the guest experience with reimagined accommodations, new culinary concepts and expanded amenities according to the resort.

“Delivering exceptional hospitality requires ongoing innovation, and we are excited to unveil these revitalized spaces at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta,” Fernando Mulet, executive vice president and chief investment officer of Playa Hotels & Resorts. “These updates not only enhance the guest experience but also reinforce our commitment to setting new standards in all-inclusive luxury through elevated accommodations and innovative experiences. We can’t wait to welcome guests back to rediscover this stunning resort.”

Located along the Pacific coast surrounded by mountains and tropical landscape, all 244 guestrooms in the North Tower have been refreshed, with new air-conditioning systems, custom woodwork, Smart TVs, Nespresso machines and vibrant décor inspired by the resort’s oceanfront setting, with upgraded sliding glass doors and balconies.

The resort’s culinary lineup expands with the opening of Tamari, an Asian-fusion concept with live Teppanyaki cooking by expert chefs. Meanwhile, the resort’s KidZ Club for ages 4-12 has been completely reimagined, offering a jungle-inspired atmosphere filled with engaging activities for young adventurers.

Event spaces have also been elevated, including the addition of a stunning new terrace with 360° views of the Pacific. Additional updates include a redesigned lobby, revitalized pickleball courts and structural enhancements throughout the resort.

Looking ahead, Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is set to debut Melanzanne, an all-new Italian dining concept with ocean views, as well as renovated elevators and emergency stairways in the North Tower, all slated for completion in 2025.
