W Hotels continued its ongoing brand evolution with the completion of a transformation at W Hoboken, a luxury hotel on the city’s waterfront across from New York City.
The 223-room property has been redesigned to reflect Hoboken’s character and waterfront setting and follows the recent renovation of W New York – Union Square. The hotel’s guestrooms have been redesigned with details inspired by Hoboken’s industrial past and waterfront views.

“We envisioned W Hoboken as a place of connection for guests and locals alike,” Joanna Sanchez, general manager, W Hoboken, said in a statement. “This transformation brings a renewed sense of place and energy to the property.”

“W Hoboken embodies the modern evolution of W Hotels, where bold design, vibrant energy and our Whatever/Whenever service culture come together to create a dynamic guest experience,” added George Fleck, SVP and global brand leader, W Hotels.
The property’s Living Room serves as the hotel’s central gathering place, transitioning from a casual daytime space to an evening social setting. Its design incorporates industrial and maritime influences, including metal mesh accents reminiscent of the city’s rail history and a red arch referencing local architecture. The Living Room Bar joins the hotel’s existing Halifax and Sushi by Bou restaurants.

Each guestroom includes a small lounge area, pendant lighting influenced by lighthouse forms and mirrors that reference the tunnels linking New Jersey and New York. The 20 superior suites include a separate bedroom, living room and balcony with skyline views. The Penthouse I and Penthouse II suites add expanded living spaces, kitchenettes and additional bedrooms.
Artwork throughout the hotel takes inspiration from the area’s sunsets and maritime colors. W Hoboken also has a FIT fitness center and flexible meeting spaces designed for both small and large gatherings, including corporate events and weddings.
