Safara, Hotels Above Par partner to integrate booking, editorial curation

Hotel booking platform Safara has unveiled a partnership with Hotels Above Par, an editorial platform focused on design-driven boutique hotels.

Under the agreement, Los Angeles-based Safara becomes the exclusive booking partner for the HAP Collection, a portfolio of more than 500 boutique hotels that have been visited, reviewed and approved by travel journalists. The partnership integrates booking capabilities into the HAP website and includes incentives such as cash back for future stays and limited-edition gifts tied to booking thresholds.

“Our audience comes to us for inspiration, trusted recommendations and a highly curated lens on the hotel world,” Brandon Berkson, founder and CEO of Hotels Above Par, said in a statement. “Safara’s technology and traveler-first approach are the perfect complement. Together, we’re reimagining the connection between discovery and booking—and this is just the beginning.”

“Hotels Above Par has built an incredibly loyal audience by combining thoughtful curation with a distinctive personality that resonates with modern travelers,” added Doug Schuessler, CEO of Safara.

Safara and Hotels Above Par plan to develop a premium perks program offering travelers additional benefits and experiences at HAP-curated properties worldwide. The companies noted the collaboration reflects a growing trend of pairing editorial curation with integrated booking tools, creating new ways for travelers to connect with boutique properties and for hoteliers to reach targeted audiences.
