Curator Hotel & Resort Collection—a collection of boutique and lifestyle independent hotels and resorts—has added three new member properties in Colorado and California to its portfolio.
The new hotels joining Curator Hotel & Resort Collection are the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club in Colorado Springs, Colo.; The National Exchange Hotel in Nevada City, Calif.; and The Holbrooke Hotel in Grass Valley, Calif. Bethesda, Md.-based Curator’s portfolio now has more than 100 hotels, resorts and experiences in its collection.
“Each of these properties captures what Curator is all about: independent spirit, thoughtful design and a strong sense of community,” Jennifer Barnwell, president of Curator Hotel & Resort Collection, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome these exceptional hotels into the Curator family. These members take us into new cities in markets across California and Colorado.”
The Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is set against the red rock formations of the Garden of the Gods Park with panoramic views of Pikes Peak. The property has residential-style cottages and casitas, a championship golf course and the Strata Integrated Wellness Spa and Center.
Originally built in 1856, the National Exchange Hotel is one of California’s oldest continuously operating hotels. Located in historic downtown Nevada City, the 38-room property is designed to combine Victorian and contemporary style.
A sister property to The National Exchange and a designated California Historical Landmark, the Holbrooke Hotel first opened in 1862 and has been fully restored to honor its past. The 28 individually styled rooms blend historic character and modern sophistication. The hotel’s Golden Gate Saloon is one of the oldest bars west of the Mississippi and remains a gathering spot in downtown Grass Valley.
